Contingent Fees?

If I accept your case we will enter into a written contingent fee agreement. That agreement will provide, among other things: 1) that you owe me nothing whatsoever unless I recover money for you; 2) that you do not have to reimburse me for my out-of pocket expenses advanced on you behalf unless I recover money for you; 3) that if I do recover money for you, the attorneys fees will be a percentage of the amount I recover, typically 33 and 1/3% of any amount recovered before a lawsuit is filed and 40% of any amount recovered after a lawsuit is filed; and 4) the percentage attorneys fees will be deducted from the amount recovered before the out of pocket expenses I advance on your behalf are reimbursed out of your share of the recovery.
